home again

We liked Puerto Rico so much, we didn't really want to leave. That turned out pretty well, because we actually missed our flight to come home on Saturday. We got to the gate just as the plane was backing out onto the tarmac! We waited to see if we could get on anther flight, but it wasn't to be. The next day we were back at the airport ready to try to fly "stand by".


Marcus and I flew together and went from San Juan to Dulles and then home. I loved the view of the Puerto Rico coastline as we left.

Then we made it back to chilly Columbus at about 7:00 p.m.


Naty and Gaby caught a later flight and went to Chicago and then home to Columbus at 11:30 Sunday night.


Wednesday morning, we had our first snow of the season.


Marcus was sick with a horrible cough that morning, so Gaby and I walked to school in the snow. She loved it and couldn't stop smiling.

Then last night, Friday, we got out our Christmas decorations and set them up.


Marcus enjoyed setting up several nativity scenes around the house.


Gaby and Marcus both loved decorating the tree.


Thanks to Naty's organizational skills, everything went very smooth.


This morning Gaby enjoyed snuggling up next to the tree with her Bible and a cup of coffee with milk this morning.
